The Acosta Away Day is a completely modular programme, designed to be shaped around your team’s unique goals, schedule, and preferences. Whether you’re planning a half day of team bonding or a full day of creative exploration, our process ensures every detail is tailored to you. Below are the key steps to take before your Away Day begins.
Decide what your team wants to achieve, such as bonding, leadership skills, or wellbeing. Choose from five themes designed to suit different goals and group dynamics. No dance experience is required.
Contact our team to discuss your aims. We will guide you through activity options, schedules, and dance styles to shape the ideal experience for your group. Each event is tailored to your objectives.
Once you are happy with the proposal, we will send a formal quote. A 25% deposit secures your date, time, and catering. Our team will handle the planning and logistics.
Four weeks before your event, confirm guest numbers and dietary needs. We will send the final invoice and prepare everything for your team’s energising, creative, and unforgettable Acosta Away Day experience.
A unique Cuban-style team-building activity where participants are guided by our instructors through learning the fundamentals of Afro-Cuban dance.
Ideal for large groups, this exhilarating dance style culminates in your very own Cuban carnival dance party, where you become the performer.
With live music, authentic Cuban food, and drinks to energise the atmosphere, it’s an evening you won’t forget.
Ideal for small teams, participants are paired up to learn a dance style of their choice, guided step by step by our professional instructors. The focus is on fun, connection, and creative expression, making it perfect for colleagues looking to build trust and confidence together. Throughout the session, teams rehearse and refine their routines in a supportive and energetic environment.
At the end of the day, each pair performs their routine in front of colleagues and a panel of peer judges, with guidance and encouragement from our dance team. Expect cheers, laughter, and a few surprises as your workplace stars take the spotlight. It’s a brilliant way to celebrate teamwork and courage with a touch of sparkle.
Divided into teams, participants will compete for the Dance World Cup title by creating and performing their own choreography. Each team will appoint a choreographer who, with guidance from an instructor, will lead the group in developing their routine.
After completing a fundamentals training session in their chosen dance style, each team will be assigned a studio to rehearse and refine their performance.
The day concludes with a high-energy competition, where teams showcase their routines and are scored by a panel of judges selected by the participants themselves.
No away day is complete without delicious food and drink to keep everyone energised and refreshed. We offer a range of catering options to suit your needs, from welcome drinks and light snacks on arrival to fully catered lunches and dinners. There is a massive range of classes in all styles of dance. Ballet with great teachers like Denzil Bailey, Diana Conti, and Ludovic Ondiviela. There is also ballroom, contemporary, Cuban, orishas, rumba.
