Please be aware that online bids will close at 23:59 on Sunday the 6th of October and that those attending the Acosta Dance Centre anniversary fundraising Gala on the 7th of October will be able to make final bids on items at the live auction, which will finish by 23:00. LOT 1. An afternoon with Acosta Danza, watching rehearsals followed by High Tea for 2 – From £150

Two people will have the special opportunity to experience and get up close to Carlos’ renowned dance company Acosta Danza behind the scenes whilst they rehearse the brand-new production of Nutcracker in Havana – A festive favourite with a Cuban Twist! This will be a chance to see the sheer effort, sweat and energy that goes into preparing for a new production by the most charismatic and talented dancers in town, followed by an enchanting afternoon High Tea featuring an array of treats and of course, a bottle of bubbly!

LOT 2. Mental Health and Self-care workshop for a dance school or performing arts school of your choice – From £150

Give dance and performing arts students (for performing arts students from the age of 13 through to professional performers) the vital tools they need to recognize mental health symptoms and possible underlying factors and triggers with a specially crafted 1.5-hour workshop delivered online. Attendees will have the chance to explore subject such as their relationship with food, perfectionism, social media influences and body image to enable them to see if these issues are affecting them.

A discussion regarding the relationship between mental health and injuries is also included; this can help with both recovering from and avoiding future injuries and participants learn a variety of effective techniques to help them in all aspects of their performing life.

The workshop is delivered by Terry Hyde, CEO of the Stepps Charity who provide counselling specifically for dancers and can also be adapted for those working with performers, coaches, teachers, physical therapists, dance science students and also the parents of students

LOT 4. A Box for four people at the Royal Opera House to watch The Royal Ballet’s production of Cinderella on the 12th of December – From £500

You and three guests will enjoy a private box with the most superb view at the Royal Opera House to experience this enchanting ballet by The Royal Ballet’s Founding Choreographer Frederick Ashton. A theatrical experience for all the family this Christmas. Cinderella will be performed by Yasmine Naghdi and the prince by Matthew Ball. An enchanting evening.

Experience Carlos Acosta’s brand-new production of Nutcracker in Havana on its UK debut (London December 10, 2024). This vibrant show features new choreography by Acosta and a Cuban twist on Tchaikovsky’s score, performed by Acosta Danza. Enjoy pre-show drinks, meet Carlos Acosta, and mingle with the cast.
